Reincloud® Mobile
ReinCloud Mobile is a companion HMI designed to give users on-the-go access to center-pivot irrigation controls and insights. The experience mirrors core web functionality while remaining lightweight, responsive, and easy to use in the field. It integrates operational control with data-driven irrigation insights.
Context
Farmers and operators often need to adjust irrigation settings directly from the field using mobile devices. The challenge was to compress complex equipment controls and data-heavy insights into a small screen without overwhelming users. The mobile experience also needed to remain consistent with the web platform while prioritizing speed and accessibility.
Solution
The mobile interface focused on compressed controls, clear visual hierarchy, and task-first navigation. Complex data was simplified through visual patterns and progressive disclosure. The design balances operational control with insights while maintaining parity with the web experience.
Core Flows
Zone Configuration - Zone setup was redesigned using a timeline-style slider inspired by video editing tools. This allows users to easily define angular ranges and adjust zones with precision through direct manipulation.
CropX Integration - CropX irrigation insights were integrated directly into the mobile experience. Users can view sensor-driven recommendations alongside system controls to support data-informed decisions.
As-Applied View - An “As Applied” view visualizes historical water application using gradient-based maps. This helps users quickly understand coverage patterns and evaluate past irrigation performance.
Outcome
ReinCloud Mobile is live and used by farmers and operators to manage irrigation systems directly from the field. The compressed, mobile-first design made advanced controls more accessible without sacrificing functionality. This improved usability in real-world conditions and strengthened alignment between operational control and irrigation insights.
